AgServ was originally established in 1995 by Litchfield Realty Company as FarmLand Real Estate & Management to work with its AgServ Agronomy Business. In 2003, following the restructuring of Litchfield Realty and its subsidiaries, Kurt Olson purchased FarmLand Real Estate & Management along with the AgServ business. In 2021, Jeremy Davis joined the FarmLand Real Estate & Management and the decision was made to re-launch the company as AgServ.
Today, AgServ’s focus is on the future of farming and agriculture. AgServ, based in Ames, Iowa, is a full-service professional Farm Management, Ag and Farm Land Real Estate, and Crop Insurance agency with a mission to support the success of our farmers and land owners through custom tailored solutions that meet your needs.

Meet our AgServ Team:
Kurt Olson
Kurt Olson, Founder and CEO of AgServ, is a professional farm manager, a licensed real estate broker and a crop insurance agent.
Kurt grew up on a grain and livestock farm in Dolliver, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics with an emphasis in Management. He has continued to work in the agriculture industry, gaining experience in small to large-scale operations for both independent owners and corporations.
Kurt began working 37 years ago with the Litchfield Realty Company, a large family farm corporation. In addition to acting as the insurance and real estate agent, he was the principle farm manager and he oversaw the company’s agronomy department, seed operations, and livestock facilities. In 1987, he was elected President of Litchfield Realty and It’s subsidiaries, and elected to the Board of Directors in 1988. During the company’s restructuring in 2003, Kurt purchased FarmLand Real Estate and Management – the company’s farm management, real estate, and insurance subsidiary – and, to this day, continues to represent the Litchfield family as well as a large variety of other landowners in Iowa.

Jeremy Davis
Jeremy Davis joined AgServ in April 2021 and is a professional farm manager, licensed real estate broker and crop insurance agent in Iowa.
Davis joined AgServ following a successful career as a senior executive service appointee at USDA as the Northern Cornbelt Regional Coordinator with the Farm Production and Conservation Mission Area working with the Farm Service Agency, Natural Resource Conservation Service and the Risk Management Agency in the States of Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Minnesota. Prior to USDA, he was the Director of Grassroots for the National Pork Producers Council.
A native of Eastern Iowa who grew up on his family’s diversified livestock and grain farm, Davis attended Iowa State University and earned a B.S. and M.S. in Agriculture Education. Davis currently resides in Ames, Iowa and has previously served as a member of the Ames City Council, a member of the Board of Directors of the Ames Economic Development Commission and is actively engaged with various other community organizations.
